The weekend flies by

This weekend I've spent my time partaking in a lot of joyous, christmassy fun! From buying my own 2ft Christmas tree for my bedroom, to making decorations for all around the house, to singing in a gospel choir. I had a lot of fun I can tell you!

Tomorrow hopefully I will be listing a few cards for the new year.. but lets not talk about that yet!

Here are few snaps of the decorations I've been making this weekend :)

I hope you've all had a great weekend.

The last few days...

So I've spent the last few days imprisoned in my home due to the amount a snow piling up on my door step. This has given me the time to get everything I need to be done for the Christmas Fayre, that I am selling my jewellery and a few cards at.

So here are a few pictures of children's jewellery that I will be selling there...

Small pink weaved bracelet.

Hope you like these pieces :)

Designing a Custom Piece

Today I've spent a fair bit researching beads to use on a custom piece, which always excites me. Seeing the variety of beads before me, and making the decision of what to buy. Knowing that it is going to be something that some else wheres.

I've also been designing and making a voucher, for part of a fundraiser that I've been asked to contribute to.

I hope you've all had a good day x

Pink Weaved Bracelet

Medium size beaded bracelet, used with weaved pink tiger-tail. Pink is one of my favourite colours so , I have to stop myself designing and creating to many pieces.

Searching and Shopping!

I have spent most of the afternoon browsing the web for beads, fastenings and other findings.  I bought quite a few beads off hobby craft, which isn't where I generally buy most of my beads from. Those two shops would be:

The main shop that I use for beading needs is Jencel. Jencel used to have a shop based 1/2 mile from where I live but, a few years ago it turned to an online only shop. But it has not lost any of its appeal to me.

Another shop that I adore is Bead Hive. I firstly discovered this shop during a weekend in York, I was over  joyed by the range and quality of the beads! And then only to discover, they also have an online shop!

So they are the two shops that I would recommend to you.

Care free dreams

Necklace inspired by a dream I had last night. In which I was playing as child, in my old school field. Fully of greenery and my old school friends.
When I sat down to make a necklace, my dream came to mind, the greenery and the care free nature that comes with being a child.

My First Blog

So this is it. The first time I've felt a sense of achievement since i dropped out of school. A momentous occasion one might say? To me yes. To you undoubtedly not. But here it is.

The bottom half of the photo is one of my sister and I, quite recently on my 19th birthday. She deserves a mention in this first post as, she is my sole inspiration and some who encourages me constantly.

The top half of the photo, a piece of chunky orange & green bead necklace and earring set. The green bead on this set has a small, blue, floral pattern, all around it. I designed this piece a few weeks ago.
